General: Business limits (The millionaire and the fisherman)

Everyone in the business game thinks about the same and in the same way.
Almost all businessman think about profits, marketing, maybe even sustainability but forget to think about their personal objectives, they all forget to think about what they want to do when they make it big, for all of you out there like that i leave you with one of the most wonderful parables of our times:

An American investment banker was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.
The Mexican replied, “only a little while.”
The American then asked why didn’t he stay out longer and catch more fish?
The Mexican said he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs.
The American then asked, “but what do you do with the rest of your time?”
The Mexican fisherman said, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siestas with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life.”
The American scoffed, “I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing, and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually New York City, where you will run your expanding enterprise.”
The Mexican fisherman asked, “But, how long will this all take?”
To which the American replied, “15 – 20 years.”
“But what then?” Asked the Mexican.
The American laughed and said, “That’s the best part. When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions!”
“Millions—then what?”
The American said, “Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siestas with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.”

Try to be like the fisherman and not like the American Investment Banker in pursuit of millions with the objective of living the life that the Mexican fisherman was already living.
Think about it.

Offbeat: Marriage Proposal Do’s & Don’ts

Proposing can be one of the most nerve-racking things a man will have to do in his life. There’s so many different things to get perfect that it can make him feel very under pressure such as; choosing the perfect engagement ring, the perfect setting to propose, the perfect words to say. It’s a lot to think about, so here’s a list of do’s and don’ts for that extra bit of help along the way.
DON’T
Don’t try and re-enact one of her favourite movies where the ring gets put into food, gets found and she’s the happiest girl in the world and can’t wait to marry you. Some might say it’s romantic but what’s romantic about a trip to hospital or a ring covered in red wine jus?
Don’t do it in front of a huge crowd of people that will all stop and listen, just in case she says no. It will be terribly embarrassing and will most probably put you off proposing for life.
Don’t ask to be put on the big screen of a sports game, unless this is what your girlfriend has always dreamed of, there’s nothing less romantic than being surrounded by loud sweaty men and having your engagement publicly aired.
Don’t do it if you’re not 100% sure she’s going to say yes. If you really want this to be perfect then you’ve got to know that she wants to marry you, maybe bring up a conversation on the idea a while before you plan on proposing then you know you’re not wasting your time.
DO
Do it somewhere that means something to both of you, like where you first met or where you shared something special.
Do think through how you’re going to ask the all-important question, you can’t just say “will you marry me?” Build it up letting her know why she’s the one you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Do make it a unique proposal that no one else has done, don’t make it all cliché and predictable. You want to surprise her and make her feel like the luckiest woman in the world. Think back on your whole relationship and choose ideas representing things that you have experienced together and make it special to the two of you.
Last but not least, do make sure you buy the perfect engagement ring. You might already know that she wants to choose her own engagement ring, in that case present her with a special gift knowing that she will get to choose her own ring. If not, ask her mum. Mum’s always know best and will know exactly which engagement ring she would like, this will also take a little weight off of your shoulders knowing that the best and most important part of getting engaged is perfect.
